Manage and Treat Rosacea With Natural Oils
Rosacea is a chronic disease that most commonly affects the skin on the face. It is caused by blood flow to the surface of the skin and characterized by redness, bumps, pimples and, in some instances, thickened skin.
Approximately 14 million people in the United States alone suffer from rosacea.
Aside from the noticeable facial irritation, sufferers often experience burning and stinging sensations, along with tightness, swelling and itchiness.
Experts have not yet pinpointed the reason rosacea happens but know that some activities and foods can cause flare-ups. While there are prescription medications and creams on the market to treat rosacea, many prescriptions and creams contain chemicals that cause more irritation to sensitive skin.
Many individuals have reported great success in managing their rosacea by adding natural oils to their morning and evening skincare routines. These oils are much closer to the oil (sebum) produced by the skin and are much less irritating than chemical-based treatment products on the market.
Jojoba Oil is an extremely gentle oil that has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties; making it optimal for cleansing skin affected by rosacea. The oil is also full of vitamins and fatty acids, which act as an anti-inflammatory to reduce redness and swelling throughout the day. To cleanse your skin, massage a small amount of Jojoba Oil into the skin and then rinse it away with warm water.
Afterwards, pat the face dry and apply a small amount of Jojoba Oil as a facial moisturizer to allow your skin to retain more of its own natural moisture while continuing to provide the skin with all the beneficial properties of the oil.
For a natural boost to the eye area, which is also often affected by rosacea, massage Green Coffee Bean Oil under the eyes. The caffeine in the oil aids in stimulating collagen and elastin production while reducing the appearance of puffy, tired eyes.

Before turning in for the night, remove makeup from your face by dropping a few drops of Jojoba Oil onto a cotton ball and gently rubbing it over the areas where makeup was applied.
Once your makeup has been adequately removed, cleanse the face with Moringa Oil and a warm washcloth. Moringa Oil (or Oen oil) contains anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory agents, providing both a cleansing and soothing effect.
Next, pat the skin dry and mist it with Orange Blossom (Neroli) Water. The anti-inflammatory agents and a refreshing composition of Neroli Water soothes and calms irritated skin. For intensive healing and moisturizing, apply 2-3 drops of Rosehip Night Serum to your face. This deeply moisturizing serum contains vitamins A, B carotene, C, D and E to repair the skin and ward off signs of premature aging.
During flare-ups, Rosehip Night Serum is one of the most effective oils to utilize. Containing soothing Lavender Essential Oil and a soothing mixture of carrier oils, this serum will help soothe redness when a flare-up occurs.
The Rosehip Oil in the serum is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, which have an incredible ability to repair and regenerate the skin. In addition to these remarkable abilities, the oil provides a calming effect with its anti-inflammatory agents.
Apply to the affected area each morning or as the flare-up occurs for best results.
